The frame is optimized to complement the wider Reserve 52/63 turbulent aero wheels. In addition to the handling benefits, this saves over 5 watts compared to the previous Reserve wheelset. FRAME ENHANCEMENTS The UCI’s new regulations on aerodynamic design allowed us some additional room to deepen our aero profiles and squeeze 65 more grams of drag performance out of what is already the fastest aero bike on the market. You’ll notice a deeper head tube and BB area, and more aggressive shaping on the trailing edges of the tubes. Since the new S5 is only compatible with electronic shifting, we were able to tidy the dropout a bit and update the shaping all over the bike. HANDLEBAR REFINEMENT We’ve improved the comfort of the handlebar and tweaked the shape to get a perfectly flat bar-to-hood transition. We now use a two-bolt interface that allows for infinite tilt adjustments between 0 and 5 degrees. KEEPING IT SIMPLE Bike fitters at every level are moving away from longer-offset seat posts, and the new S5 comes stock with a 15mm offset post on most sizes (vs 25mm offset on outgoing S5). The old seat posts are forward-compatible, and we’ll keep the 400mm-long, 25mm offset post in stock for those looking for a more extreme fit. SRAM INTEGRATED POWER Red and Force builds include Quarq Zero powermeters integrated into the crank. The integration of a powermeter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures. SORRY CAMPY FANS The 2022 S5 Disc frameset is designed to accommodate electronic shifting groupsets that use connectors up to 6mm in diameter, therefore Campagnolo EPS is not compatible with this frameset. Mechanical shifting groupsets are also not compatible with this frameset.

THE EVERYDAY BREAKAWAY BIKE The Soloist. It’s a name from deep in our history, but immediately familiar to anyone with bike racing memories extending back to the early-2000s. It was the weapon of choice for top World Tour contenders on CSC and the Cervelo Test Team, and we’re bringing it back for a new generation. The R5 is beloved by pros and amateurs alike for its poise, stability, and precision when that killer climb turns into an even more killer descent. Soloist benefits from our decades of race bike geometry development, and comes out of the gate ready to go. FAST LIKE S5, LIGHT LIKE R5 Soloist sits right between S5 and R5 on the performance scale, while having a price tag that’s less World Tour, more Road Trip. It’s about 250g heavier than R5, and 250g lighter than S5. It’s 190g slower than S5, but 126g faster than R5. You get the idea. It’s the ‘just-right’ answer for the rider trying to find a smart, intentional compromise. HIDDEN FROM THE WIND, NO BLEED NECESSARY The cable routing is inside the frame for aerodynamics, but doesn't go through the stem. We developed our own system that threads the cables under the stem, but through the bearing cap. Whether your position changes or you loan the bike to a friend who uses a different stem length, you won't need to bleed the brakes to swap the stem. CLEARANCE TO BUZZ THE TOWER The Soloist fits tires up to 34mm (measured), and wheels wide enough to support them. BBRIGHT-47 The BBRighT-47 bottom bracket, which first appeared on the R5-CX, is ideal for those who log big miles but don't have a pro wrench checking the bike over every day. It makes BB swaps a breeze (convenient if you're burning through hand-me-down components) and extends the life of the frame.

Ultra-lightweight racing frame A distinctive feature of the Wilier 0 SLR is its lightweight frame: weighing in at under 800 grams in the medium matte black version, Wilier 0 SLR is the most distinguished member of Wilier Triestina’s range of super lightweight frames. In fact, in its most advanced configuration, the entire bike tips the scales at a mere 6.5 kg. Total integration One of the trends most highly appreciated by the public at large is the search for extreme clean lines. Already in 2016, Wilier Triestina started down this road (one of the first bike manufacturers worldwide to do so) with Cento10AIR, inserting the brake and derailleur cables inside the monocoque handlebar which was integrated in the frame. With the Wilier 0 SLR, we raised the bar, pairing total integration with the lightest frame, fork and handlebar ever. We've re-engineered and evolved all these elements allowing integration: the 0 integrated handlebar, composite handlebar spacers and the section of the frame headset. Easy-fit spacers The spacers between the frame headset and the handlebar are made of a high-stiffness composite material, with a special cavity for the cables. They are composed of two parts for quick assembly and disassembly without interfering with the cables running from the handlebar to the frame. Stiffness to weight High STW values are synonymous with performance in carbon frames. Most of the time, we add material to increase a frame’s stiffness, thus increasing its weight. But, when weight is to be reduced, stiffness is at risk, and consequently, handling and safety. On the Wilier 0 SLR, thanks to the blend of carbons, the unique positioning of the fibres, and the construction technology, we have succeeded in attaining the highest level of lightness and stiffness, exceeding the STW value of our previous Zero.7 and Zero.6 models by 24%. Seatpost and clamp Wilier 0 SLR comes with a carbon monocoque seatpost specially designed for this bike. Its slender shape resembles the truncated dovetail profiles of our aerodynamic Filante SLR. It's available in two geometries, one with a 0 mm setback and the other with a 15 mm setback, both of which are compatible with the Ritchey 1-Bolt seatpost clamp. The seatpost is attached to the frame with an expander positioned inside the horizontal tube for ultimate aesthetics and aerodynamics. Asymmetry becomes the solution The transmission of power to the rear wheel must not be subjected to dispersions that cause a loss of pedalling efficiency. To meet this demand, we created an asymmetrical rear triangle with the seat stay at a slightly sharper angle than the right. This prevents lateral oscillation due to the force exerted by the cyclist on the chain, thereby turning asymmetry into a solution. Speed release thru axle system Another new feature is the Mavic Speed Release thru axle system that enbles the wheel to be quickly removed from the frame. In this way the axle does not need to be totally extracted from the wheel hub. This solution significantly reduces wheel release and insertion time. During races, this solution cuts wheel change times by 7 seconds on average compared to a traditional thru axle system. We also chose the Speed Release thru axle to reduce weight (only 85 grams per pair) and safeguard the integrity of the frame

FOR YOUR BIG, STUPID RIDES On the fringes of cycling and triathlon, already endurance-oriented sports, there are athletes pushing their bodies and equipment to the limit.
